After we eat and chat there are a few things for us to discuss. As always, many thanks go out to Mike Robertson for letting us use his space. Sunny and hot, everywhere, is the forecast for our Fly-out day. We have recently been to the coast, maybe something high for our destination? Be sure to come and add your two cents worth. HB 2434: Neal White, Past President of the OPA, reminds us to be sure to call your state representatives NOW Tell them to vote YES on HB2434. The bill is not a new tax, it merely keeps the existing Oregon Aviation Fuel Tax at the current level to fund aviation projects in the state of Oregon. As responsible aviators we want to pay our own way. Neal White, Past President of the OPA joined us for lunch. About as smooth a day as you’ll ever get. Sadly, the weather on our Normal Fly-out day, the 22nd, was sinky, so a group of us had a fine breakfast at CJ’s @ the Airport. Luckily, the NewPort OPA Chapter had their annual meeting the next weekend. Clam Chowder, Burgers and BBQ Yaquina Bay Oysters. Don Wilfofng got the last oysters. Kim Munich, and the late crew from Bend had to get a crew casr to go into town for lunch. On the way back the skydive plane in Madras reported Extreme Turbulence, but we just got some chop.
